Four Month Photo Shoot

I realized I hadn't taken many pictures of Adaline this month, so we had a little photo shoot to make up for it.  These two were my favorites.

...but still little.

We transfered our car seat bumper thing to the jog stroller because Adaline is still just a bit small for it.  I'm not sure if it actually does any good, but it makes me feel better!  Sure looks like she likes the stroller, though :)

So big...

Only four months old and already taking up over half the crib :)

First Mother's Day

I had my first ever Mother's Day this year and I had to work hard to not cry all day.  I'm so thankful to have a baby in our family that I am sometimes overcome with emotion.  It took me a full month to even write about it.
Travis and my family helped me celebrate Mother's Day with a fantastic brunch at my parents' house.  It wasn't just for me-  my sister, grandmother, and mom were all honored, too.  Travis presented me with a beautiful frame with Adaline's hands and feet prints.  He took care of me all day long, making sure I knew how much he appreciates and loves me.  Adaline and I spent some quiet time together after brunch, just being together.  I will never get tired of looking at or holding her.  She's just getting into the snuggling stage, where she'll burrow into your shoulder and chest.  I know she'll be too big to do that all too soon, so I try and soak up every nuzzle that she's willing to give me.
Happy Belated Mother's Day to all the moms out there.  I hope you enjoyed the day as much as I did.

Four Months Already?

I can't believe Adaline is four months old.  She is getting so strong and her personality is really coming out.  She loves to play in the bath and she talks more in the early morning and late evening than in the middle of the day.  She doesn't mind tummy-time, but she'd rather be on her back grabbing her feet.
She's a slow-to-warm baby; she likes to sit and assess the situation before being approached by other people.  If you get in her face and try and talk to her, she'll let you know how much she dislikes it, even if she sees you all the time...she likes her personal space!  Adaline has added so much joy to our lives in these four short months,  I can't even remember life without her.

Think they have cup holders on those saddles?
