It's a Boy!

Spencer is here! 

We are so happy to finally meet the little guy. He is healthy, beautiful, and just perfect...

8 lb 8 oz and 20 inches long

(After one week, he's already up to 9 lb 2 oz!!)

Big sister is so excited to have Spencer around. She runs into whatever room we're in and says, "Where's Brother?" or "Where's Spencer?" and then tries with all her might to reach some part of him to touch- she is so gentle and kind to him already. It brings tears to my eyes to see them together and it's only been a week and a half!

We do have our nights and days mixed up so Spencer and I spend most of the days trying to rest and catch up on our sleep, but we would love to introduce Spencer to his friends and family. Give me a call if you want to come over :)

Happy Birthday, Mom!

We celebrated my mom's birthday earlier this week with a delicious cup of coffee and breakfast treats at our favorite local bakery, Olde Tyme Pastries, then again midweek week at La Mo. I can't say enough good things about La Mo. They post their specials almost every day on Facebook, and I swear I drool just reading them. Thanks for giving us a reason to celebrate, Mom! I hope this year is spectacular for you :)

Happy Birthday, Trace!

We did end up going sledding to celebrate Trace's birthday and we had a great time!

We had a beautiful day! I love seeing Adaline getting more and more comfortable with the snow- before I know it, Travis will have her on a snowboard...

Speaking of Sledding...

I wrote this post at least a week ago and totally forgot to post it :(  Better late than never!

This winter has been so dry we jumped at the first chance to go up to the mountains to play in the snow. There wasn't much around, but there was just enough snow that we (meaning Travis) were able to take Adaline sledding for the first time. It was wonderful! Adaline was so stylish in her snow suit and sun glasses. A little unsure of the snow (it must be so hard to walk in snow boots on snow for the first time...) but happy to ride with Daddy a few times... Here was my attempt to capture the event with a camera:

Happy Birthday to Grandpa and Trace!

We worked on saying "Happy birthday, Grandpa and Trace," but it kept coming out as "Happy birthday, Adaline."
*sigh*
That's what happens when so many birthdays are close together :)

We had a wonderful rib dinner for my dad's birthday and we're headed to the mountains this weekend for Trace's birthday. Hopefully there will be snow so we can go sledding again!
